5 OUT OF 5 STARS
This fort is located in Washington State in the Cape Disapointment State Park near Ilwaco. There is a separate handicap parking area. It is a WWII fort protecting the mouth of the Columbia River. The fort originated during the civil war and was upgraded through the years and employed during WWII. It was retired in 1948.
The only area not accessible to mobility devices is the gun emplacements. You can access everything else. We had a lot of fun here. There is no admission fee. Go, have fun! We did!
