Friday Update July 17, 2020

Time for a "Friday Update"!

The internet is terrible here at Mt. Vernon Thousand Trails and our pre-paid Verizon Ellipsis Jetpack just wasn't cutting it. AT&T is also struggling. We're practically on top of I-5 so we don't understand why such a bad signal, but it is what it is. I couldn't game and videos keep spooling every 3 seconds.

Using the Verizon Ellipsis Jetpack, last week's video took, literally, all evening and into the morning to upload. The following video was only 19% uploaded after 3 hours

We got so frustrated with Verizon that we decided to bite the bullet get Nomad Internet and WOW! What a difference.    When Don got back with the Netgear Nighthawk Router and the sim card from Nomad Internet, we popped in the sim card, plugged in the router and turned it on. BAM. We were in business. Nothing to set up.   Canceled the video upload with Verizon. With Nomad Intetnet it uploaded in an hour and a half. It might not sound like it, but this was a significant improvement!

I was even able to game. Videos are streaming without interruption. I'm able to send and receive emails with no problems and update our social media without waiting for pages to load. We couldn't be happier!

If you want to check out Nomad Internet, they are currently having a sale and they also give you a 14 day free trial with full money back guarantee.
